Tasting Menu Evening at The Masons
Thursday 16th June 2016 – Save the Date
Iain Wilkinson & Kim Gillespie are breathing back life into this 200 year old village pub at Hopperton with Iain’s superb food and Kim’s natural warm welcome front of house, this young couple are destined for success.
Iain from the age of 15 starting out as a pot washer at Hazlewood Castle, trained at York College before becoming a Chef at Ye Old Sun Inn, Colton, then, Senior Sous at Duke of Wellington in Northumberland, Sous Chef at The Crown , Great Ouseburn, Head Chef at the Harrogate Brasserie. He then returned again as Sous Chef to Ye Olde Sun Inn at Colton before coming to The Masons.
Kim gained a BSc Honours degree in Hospitality and Business Management at Sheffield University, but was interested in hospitality long before then and has held variety of Front of House roles including Holiday Inns, The Chequers, Wood Hall Hotel, Ye Old Sun Inn, The Victoria, The Spotted Ox, Thorpe Park Hotel, and even here at The Masons where Kim worked some 10 years ago!
